Why We Liked These Plays
✅ Chicago Cubs Moneyline (+106)
The Cubs were one of our favorite value plays of the day.
Rather than laying expensive odds on a favorite, we found an opportunity where the betting market undervalued Chicago. We liked the starting pitching matchup, home-field advantage, and recent form, making +106 one of the best values on the board.
Result: ✅ Cubs defeated the Blue Jays 3-2, giving us a plus-money winner to start the card.
❌ Cleveland Guardians Moneyline (-117)
We believed Cleveland had the edge based on the matchup and the price offered by the market.
The Guardians checked many of the boxes we look for, including a competitive pitching matchup and favorable projections. Unfortunately, baseball is unpredictable, and despite the favorable setup, Cleveland couldn't finish the job.
Result: Loss.
✅ Atlanta Braves Moneyline (-138)
Atlanta entered the game with several advantages that stood out in our research.
We liked the Braves' offensive consistency, the strength of their starting pitching, and the matchup overall. While the odds were approaching the upper end of our preferred range, we still felt there was value in backing Atlanta.

❌ Kansas City Royals Moneyline (-117)
Kansas City presented another solid value opportunity on paper.
The pitching matchup and recent form suggested the Royals had a legitimate chance to win, but baseball often comes down to a few key moments. This was one of those games where the process was sound, but the result didn't go our way.

✅ Milwaukee Brewers Moneyline (-122)
