Why We Liked These Plays
❌ Seattle Mariners
Seattle was one of our favorite probability-to-price opportunities on the board. At nearly even money, we believed the Mariners offered excellent value based on the pitching matchup and overall market price. Unfortunately, they couldn't capitalize.
❌ Texas Rangers
Texas entered the day with several factors working in its favor, including a favorable matchup and a reasonable price. We believed the Rangers were in a strong position to win, but baseball doesn't always reward the better side on a given day.
❌ San Francisco Giants
The Giants were our value play of the card. Rather than following the market, we saw an opportunity where our projections suggested San Francisco had a better chance of winning than the odds implied. It didn't cash this time, but these are the types of wagers that can be profitable over the course of a season.
✅ San Diego Padres
The Padres were the lone winner on the card.
We liked San Diego because of the combination of starting pitching, matchup advantages, and a fair betting price. They took care of business and prevented the card from being completely swept.
❌ Cleveland Guardians
Cleveland rounded out the card as another matchup where we believed the odds underestimated their chances. Despite checking many of the boxes we look for before placing a wager, the Guardians couldn't finish the job.
